Watch the below video called THE ANZAC BUTTON from a School Journal. It is a truly moving story of a simple button and how a young girl honours it. Once you have watched the video then leave a comment describing the meaning of the button to this girl's family. Let's get to know each other better! We are learning about OUR PEOPLE: THEIR WAR II in Social Studies. Please now take the time to comment about your observations during this walk. Tell me what you learnt about the Memorial Arch, Memorial Hall display, Peace Tree and War graves at the Cemetery. Our Term 2 topic was "Leadership". We also looked at the topic of MY HERO using the website www.myhero.com where we submitted a guestbook entry about our own personal hero. Please add this entry to this blog so we can share it with others.
Our Social Studies topic is "Who's in charge?" where we are learning to understand how leaders develop.
